It's been a good week...feeling much better with shot and meds. The rain has been steady and the place looks like a jungle. Chucky is supposed to do the yard on Saturday is the rain stops long enough...if not, Sunday...Campgrounds are still blocked off and flooded. Boat Dock road under water. Lots of water in Lake Ouachita that has to be let out slowly as to keep homes on Lake Hamilton from flooding. The pollen has finally disappeared from the scene. Everything has been washed clean. Now all I need to do is clean out the inside of my vehicles and house for the pollen that's still inside. Henry has fallen down on his squirrel watch lately and my bird feeder has been ransacked and is down....also my suet feeder. He will have to get busy again instead of rolling around in the grass like he's enjoying spring. Went to bank today and the bank girls passed him several dog treats when they saw him in the back of the Suburban. He's so spoiled. I've had a chance to catalog some of the wildflowers in the woods and will post pics of some later. I still need to look up a few that I don't recognize. Darla came out to get some moss for her shade garden and we found new varieties on the hill. I hope they will live at her house. The resurrection ferns are up and so is the poison ivy. No need to ask how I know. The steroid shot is helping my disgusting open wound on my arm. I've helped Gardner and Robert for a few days this week. Gardner is doing double duty, working on the farm stuff, too. I'll work some today and tomorrow at the store. If the weather stays clear, we should have a good turnout. Finally got the fountain running and set out some planters around it on the deck. I need to clean the firepit sometime next week. Billye says she may bring the kids and come up once school is out. Think we will need a couple of days on the lake when she gets here. Hope that Trey, Denise, and Brad will come with them. Sarah will be home the first week in June for a visit...I'll be so glad to see her.
Gotta go to work now. Later.
