First berries of the season...looks like the fence row will have enough for a few bowls of cereal! Also saw the first fireflies of the season tonight. Hard to believe it's the last day of May. This month has sped by in a flash. This morning I opened the store for Mike to work on the toilet. After he fixed the leak, he painted the floor. It looks so much better. I worked in the store, mopping the floors, doing some general cleaning until 3, then came home and planted Joy's purple coneflowers along the rockwall. Henry and I ambled around the yard for a little while, watering a few plants, trimming some azaleas, and deadheading a few flowers. It's been a nice evening; cooled off and very pleasant. I've made it through May without turning on the air...just used fans when it got hot today and it never got above 75 inside. Outside it was above 90. That was pretty good. Hope my electric bill is as low as it was last month...below $70!

Nice photos. Your blackberries beat mine but I am watching them!

Thanks for the heads up on blackberries! It seems a little early, doesn't it, but weather is a'changin'. One year I found a bundle of berries not far from your house. Might need to soon check it out.
