Fall is creeping in slowly...

This morning had a little coolness in the air and that smell that comes with fall weather here. Summer is almost over and so my hiatus from the blog.... It wasn't long before the showers began, really nice and slow. Joy came up for breakfast before she went in to town. We had some of that great Orowheat sandwich thin bread with our eggs and fruit. I lingered outside with coffee until Henry refused to be put off any longer. We had our brisk walk and then went for a ride to check out the day use area and see the progress on the launching ramp road...still under construction. Larry was reading the paper and eating at the general store while I bought gas and chatted with Tracy for a few minutes. Back home I went to work on clearing out "stuff" in the back rooms with Sallycat on my heels the whole time. Joy came home early in the afternoon and Edward drove us to Mt. Harbor to look at an estate sale in Harbor South. The house looked like it was stuck in the 70's...very odd considering it couldn't have been that old. Joy bought some old albums for Ryan and Ross and I found a barrel to store birdseed. Edward found nothing he wanted but was highly entertained by all. The sun came out and we came home. I'll help Gardner at the store tonight while Robert goes to see Nelda. Gardner promises more salsa made with those wonderful tomatoes and jalapenos from Jimmy. Hugh and Jody came by last night but said they probably won't be by tonight. However, Joy and Edward may deign to visit with us.
